Study Options
What is online learning/full delivery?
Online learning allows students to complete their studies in their own time when it best suits them. To access your studies online you will require a computer and access to the internet.
How do I know which study option will be the best for me?
IRLearning options are very flexible and you can choose to blend many study options together.
Are you new to the industry? If yes, we recommend the Full Delivery pathway.
Want your skills recognised? If yes, we recommend the RPL pathway.
What is RPL?
RPL is an assessment process which recognises what you have learnt through formal, non-formal & informal learning. These experiences are measured against the learning outcomes, competency outcomes or standards of the qualification/units you want to undertake.
If what you have learned at work or elsewhere is relevant and meets the requirements of your chosen course or qualification, that learning can be recognised through the RPL process.
What do I need to submit as a part of my evidence portfolio?
The following is a list of documents you can provide as examples to support the RPL process:
- resume (detailed work history)
- certificates/results of assessments from previous courses successfully completed
- trade or other types of licenses
- photographs of work undertaken (make sure you can be identified in the photos)
- diaries/task sheets/job sheets/logbooks
- site training records
- membership of relevant professional or trade associations
- references or letters from previous employers/supervisors
- industry awards you have received
- any other documentation that may demonstrate your industry experience to support your claim
What is a credit transfer?
A credit transfer is applied to your training when you have previously completed the same unit of competency and you do not have to complete the same unit twice.
Do I need experience to complete a course?
Each of our qualifications have different study levels. This information can be found on each page
Course Enrolment
When is the best time to enrol into a course?
You can enrol into any of our full qualifications at anytime, there is no set time requirement for enrolment.
What do I need to submit with my enrolment?
At the time of enrolment you are required to provide us with a colour copy of your ID and Medicare Card OR 2nd form of ID. 1 form of ID must be a photo ID.
What if I have already completed a course with some of the same units of competency?
At the time of enrolment you can submit us with any previous completed course transcripts, we will review them to see if we can provide credit transfers, meaning that you wont have to do them again.
Will I get a discount if I receive credit transfers?
IRLearning staff will review the amount of credit transfers provided and it is possible that we provide a discount, each student will differ in this respect.
Payment
What payment options are available?
IRLearning allows students to pay their payments across 2 pathways:
- 6 month instalment plan – 1st instalment will be for $1500 and the remainder will be spread across x5 monthly instalments
- Payright – IRLearning offers zero interest payment plans for all qualifications via Payright (excludes government funded courses).
The Payright option allows students to enrol and undertake a qualification by spreading the cost over time whilst experiencing convenience, time reduction at checkout and instant approvals. Best of all, its Interest Free. The length of your term will depend on the course that you pick, our friendly staff can confirm this for you.
Can I pay for the whole course upfront?
Yes, you can pay larger instalments over a shorter period of time or a full instalment in 1 payment.
What if my employer or a third party has agreed to pay for my tuition?
Simply place the details of your requested company on the enrolment form and we will invoice and email it to them.
